Shri Gaurav Gupta is is the  Additional Chief Secretary, Energy Department , Government of Karnataka. An Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the 1990 batch  from the Karnataka cadre. He holds a  Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.)  degree from the  Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur  and a  Master of Technology (M.Tech.)  degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi.
