Gil Lizcano is the CEO and co-founder of Climate Scale, as well as a partner at Vortex.

He has been leading the innovation activities at Vortex since 2008, helping to consolidate the company's leadership in providing high-resolution wind data for wind farm development.

In 2019, Gil  founded Climate Scale, where he leverages his expertise in translating climate models and data into actionable information for assessing climate risks and impacts for the wind and solar industries.

His academic background includes degrees in Physics, Wind Energy, and Climate Science, and he has over 25 years of experience working in wind resource modeling and regional climate downscaling.
