Mr. Jesper I. Michelsen has been serving as Chief Advisor at the Danish Energy Agency since May 2025 under the INDEP II programme, a bilateral collaboration between India and Denmark. The programme focuses on strengthening knowledge sharing, exchanging experience, and building capacity among Indian partners, supporting India’s ambitious goal of achieving 30 GW of offshore wind capacity by 2030.
With more than 20 years of experience in the Danish wind industry, Mr. Michelsen has held senior roles in EPC project management, project development, line management, framework agreements, and wind turbine procurement. He has successfully delivered projects across Central Europe, Asia-Pacific, and the United States, developing extensive expertise in strategy, supply chain management, stakeholder engagement, and risk management. Guided by his motto, “caring is sharing,” Mr. Michelsen remains committed to supporting India’s green energy transition.
He holds a BSc (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark, completed in 1986, which underpins his technical and strategic contributions to the wind energy sector.
