Nishaanth Balashanmugam is business graduate from Newcastle, UK, who has spent over 16 years in industry.

He is currently the founding director for the Green Hydrogen Association, a section 8 company in India that was established as the regional chapter for the Green Hydrogen Organisation (GH2) a Swiss non-profit foundation, with a mission to accelerate the adoption of green hydrogen globally.

Nishaanth has spearheaded a multi-stakeholder effort, seamlessly bridging the gap between governments and industry to drive India's green hydrogen ambitions forward. He has led and setup the India chapter for the organisation building relationships with over 8 state governments and over 130 companies and other stakeholders in the eco system. His work encompasses assisting green hydrogen project developers with financing, capacity building, standards and governments with policy and contracting.

He also serves as a programme co-ordinator for Climate and Energy Transition Finance Initiative (CETFi) which is focused on enabling largescale financing for energy transition projects. His dedication to sustainability is evident through his pivotal role in implementing GH2's various initiatives across the nation.

With a distinguished career spanning over a decade in managerial roles at automotive dealerships with Honda and Ford, he brings invaluable expertise in both industry and sustainability to the table. Nishaanth’s remarkable contributions extend beyond his corporate background.
