Dr. Dash has about 20 years of experience in various Govt. Organizations such as MNRE, NISE, BARC and DRDO. Presently working in the wind division of the ministry majorly contributing in the domain of policy formulation, regulatory aspects, planning and implementation of programs for wind energy development in the country.   

Before joining the wind division, he was working in National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE) and instrumental in establishment of the photovoltaic module test laboratory along with its NABL accreditation. The battery testing laboratory in NISE was also upgraded under his supervision.  

He is contributing in preparation of quality standards for wind turbine generators as a member of the BIS technical committees (TC -42) 

He has also worked in Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) & Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) towards developing an underwater propulsion system.  

Completed his MSc (Physics) from Utkal University, Odisha and PhD from GGSIPU, Delhi   

His research interest includes;

1. Performance mapping of various PV technologies in different climatic conditions. 
2. Techno economic feasibility of wind-solar-storage hybrid systems
3. RE Integration
4. Offshore wind
