Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Industry Analytics, Thematic Research & Policy Advisory, HDFC Bank

With a career spanning 30 years in consulting, credit rating, commercial lending, and analytical research, Sudip brings a deep understanding of sectors and has led consulting engagements for corporates across infrastructure sectors as well as Government ministries. In his current role, he is responsible for industry analytics and research for HDFC Bank and advises large corporates on strategy. Sudip has been leading several consulting mandates in Renewable and New Energy sectors.

During his stint with CRISIL from 2005 to 2020, Sudip handled multiple assignments. He was advisor to Ministry of Finance for the National Infrastructure Pipeline and was the Senior Director for CRISIL Ratings, heading the corporate and infrastructure ratings group.

From 1996 to 2000, Sudip was part of the start-up team at Fitch Ratings in India, from where he moved to the Analytics Centre of Excellence in Genpact to set up the commercial credit analytics division to support GE Capital businesses. He holds a master’s degree in business administration.
